Samantha has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Virginia Tech. She has spent the last 21 years in the insurance industry. Working for 18 years on the claim side of the business and now in product. She begged her parents to let her ride horses and finally at the age of 8 was able to start taking lessons. Taking full advantage of living in Virginia, she participated in the hunters, jumpers, eventing, fox hunting and going for hours of trail rides in Albemarle County. Samantha enjoys raising young horses and preparing them for the thoroughbred sales, while also showing her mare in the hunters. She also enjoys rescuing hounds. Currently she competes in nosework with her current Treeing Walker Coonhound, Adeline Josephine. Samantha has also spent many years on the Deep Run Horse Show Associate board and is currently secretary.
